Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Amy discovered her passion for theatrical makeup and special effects while studying Performance Arts at Swinburne University in 2008. This newfound interest led her to pursue a Diploma of Fashion, Theatre & Film Makeup Artistry in Perth, Western Australia, graduating in 2009. Amy’s professional journey began with international cosmetic houses including Dior, Aveda, and MAC Cosmetics. Over the course of eight years, she earned multiple artistic certifications and awards, and contributed her talents to countless fashion shows, editorial shoots, and industry events. In 2015, Amy transitioned into education, joining Artists@Play Academy as a lecturer in Beauty, Fashion, and Special FX Makeup Artistry. There, she mentored and graduated over 100 students across beginner to advanced levels, preparing them for careers in the makeup industry. In 2016, Amy joined Channel Nine as a Hair & Makeup Artist, working on live broadcasts, promotional events, and TV commercials. She remains a valued part of the team and continues to freelance for other television networks when in Australia. Seeking to broaden her skillset, Amy trained at the prestigious Los Angeles Cinema Makeup School in 2016 and 2017, where she honed her abilities in prosthetic fabrication, sculpture, blood rigging, wig making, and HD application. She also completed a six-month Lab Internship at CMS, assisting lecturers and students in Special FX makeup. Upon returning to Australia, Amy began working on feature films and television series in Hair, Makeup & Special FX departments. Her responsibilities have included script breakdowns, designing character looks, executing precise applications under tight timeframes, and maintaining continuity—often serving as a dedicated on-set artist for cast members. Amy is known for her creative innovation, refined production skills, and warm, professional demeanor. Her passion lies in making every person in her chair feel confident and comfortable, ensuring they leave looking and feeling their best. Her versatile expertise across fashion/runway, advertising, music videos, film, and television consistently delivers striking, memorable transformations. Current Work Amy currently divides her time between Australia and the United States. While she continues to take on Film and TV contracts in Australia, she is now primarily based in Los Angeles. There, she freelances independently for production companies, SFX labs, and private clients—bringing her expertise to a wide range of creative projects across the entertainment industry.
